    The real issue is people forming some kinda equivalent to a parasocial relationship with media franchises

    Theyre obsessed with these imaginary worlds

    So the market tries to meet the needs of crazy obsessives because the money is in the whales.

    Best example is to look at disney adults and the consumerism around all their media properties, everyone wants to create that kinda effect

    I think The Force Awakens is one of the best films. Right behind Rogue One (which is right behind Empire). And Andor is the best Star Wars put to screen.

    The other 2 sequels are trash.

    but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what memes to make with the films that are given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, besides the will of evil. Disney was meant to buy Lucasfilm . In which case, you also were meant to have more Star Wars … and that is an encouraging thought.
