Iranian officials say overnight US strikes destroyed a desalination facility supplying drinking water to about 10,000 people.

Hamzeh Pour, chief executive of the Hormozgan Water and Wastewater Company, said US strikes hit desalination pumps and electrical infrastructure in Bunji village, in Jask, cutting off water supplies to 20 villages.

“The supply of drinking water to 20 villages with a population of approximately 10,000 people has been completely disrupted,” Pour was quoted by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency as saying.

Iran was ignoring its peoples need for water

Deeply revealing when you see this line used after an airstrike. It really calls into question every other instance in which the US has claimed an enemy government is “ignoring its people”

we dont even know what the US’s goal is in this war

Currently, it’s to Open the Straight of Hormuz. And we’re doing a stellar job.

Im asking what the goal of this obviously pointless attack is. Dont know which part makes people so angry. Are you claiming im trying to justify the war by pointing out Irans catasrophic water situation? I really hope you are being sarcastic considering the strait was open before the war.

Dont know which part makes people so angry

It’s the obviously pointlessness, mostly. Cruelty for cruelty’s sake, while the aggressor insists they’re liberating you with their aerial massacre.

Are you claiming im trying to justify the war by pointing out Irans catasrophic water situation?

You are echoing some of the rationale expressed by the Trump Admin when the bombing began.

I was asking which part of me asking about this attack makes people angry. I dont think there are any good guys in this conflict sorry if you got the impression. I can see now that you could get the impression I was echoing US reasoning.

I was asking which part of me asking about this attack makes people angry

              And I answered.

I dont think there are any good guys in this conflict sorry

I remember this policy back in middle school. If you are “in a fight” you’re breaking the rules, whether you were the one throwing a punch or getting struck.

The Iranians are guilty of being bombed. They have blood on their hands.

or maybe I need to reword this. Obviously the reason is to cause as much suffering as possible, but I just dont see the iranian government giving in because people go without water. so yeah its a pointless attack.
