Could’ve just linked to GOG instead of this random website full of affiliate links.
I get what you mean, but honestly I’d click through their affiliate links on purpose anyway. No ads, no invasive trackers, just Linux news and discussion.
My adblock begs to differ.
I love GOG! They’re giving away a free game and a free Cyberpunk digital goods pack currently for anyone curious!
Before anyone gets too excited, I just wanna point out that the Cyberpunk goodies are just wallpapers and concept art.
Don’t forget to unsubscribe from their mailing list after claiming giveaways: https://www.gog.com/en/account/settings/subscriptions
No kidding with this one; I got constant spam from them after the last one and was very confused.
“Constant” “Spam” at most I got an email twice a week.
I got daily emails with FOMO titles about special one time only redemption codes. Occasionally multiple times a day :-/

This link doesn’t work. Any chance you can link another?
It works for me. You have to be logged in on gog. The link opens blank page with {} when clicked and claims the game - you should get the email confirmation. Second click on the link should say *already claimed *
If you’re already logged in to GOG that link claims the giveaway directly but doesn’t show anything. If you visit it again it will say
Already claimed
.And if you’re not logged in it will say
Unauthorized
.Just go to the main page and scroll down a bit. The giveaway’s there.
XCOM 2 for $2.99 is a great deal.
I swiped Siedler II for that price :)
Dann you triggered some nostalgia for me! Did you get the Gold Edition or Anniversary remake?
Gold is on sale for $2.49 :) I can basically hear the music, even if I haven’t even installed it yet!
Love GOG, definitely the best storefront for PC games by far due to their principles. They’re not perfect, but I personally don’t buy if it’s not on GOG.
Looks like I can pick up Cold Steel 3/4 and Ys 8/9 for good prices this sale, so I know what I’m getting come pay day.
Would love to use it more, but no Linux support. I’ve tried using it through Lutris, but installing updates is more annoying than it needs to be.
Same. Minigalaxy bridges the gap a little, but it’s missing critical features that only GOG could implement. GOG have had Linux gamers pestering them for Galaxy on Linux forever. Seems like a natural fit, but they’ve ignored it, teased that it’s happening, ignored it again… I eventually gave up and went all-in on Steam. Valve have done everything they can to make Linux a class-A member of their ecosystem, so that’s where my business goes.
Yep, I’d be glad to see valve have some competition on Linux, but in the meantime I’ve been greatly appreciating their contributions.
Thanks for sharing
If you’re interested in 4X games at all Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri is only $1.49. It absolutely holds up and to this day probably still has the best story of any 4X game.
It also works great on Steamdeck with a couple of easy tweaks. Unfortunately the instructions for those tweaks are currently in Reddit blackout shutdown limbo so I can’t copy them here, but when the blackout ends you can Find The Instructions Here.

Any recommendations for the steam deck?
I’ve played the GOG version of Witcher 3, Alpha Centauri, and Wasteland 2 on my Steamdeck. All worked great, though Alpha Centauri needs some easy tweaks you can find here when the Reddit blackout is over.
The trackpad mouse emulation just makes almost anything viable. I played a good 100h of Rimworld until I got too annoyed with the game itself.
So many good games for low price, I do really love GOG. Thank for the share OP
