Square Enix uses the bastardized American pronunciation “man-nuh” for the English dubs, which is not incorrect, but the original pronunciation is “maw-nuh”

Today I learned that it’s an indigenous Māori word, and as such we should probably be respectful and stick with how they pronounce it.
And here I thought it was derived and bastardized from “manna” the bread. TIL
