You should be who they hire for article subject lines.

Are we really restarting this conversation for the FUCKING millionth time???

Fuck Google and fuck the bureaucracy of the U.S. Of course they’d rule to not split Google in the face of them killing sideloading.
Seconded. I’d rather sunset at 4:30 and freezing my ass off than torturing myself with the summer heat that comes with the late sun.
I’m an older zoomer but still a zoomer. Its a crazy dynamic seeing people my age and younger just not getting IT stuff. There’s a high ratio of older to younger people where I’ve worked in IT too.

Not using Kagi because its an American company is valid. But people are too used to products that are free because they make the person using them the product. There is still a transaction with a free product.
Kagi is not free because they respect your privacy and don’t sell your data.
Fuck Trump and everything he stands for, but I wouldn’t be sad seeing TSA’s security theater recede.

And maybe patience to power through a lack of documentation.

I faced that for an extended time after graduating with a Bachelor’s. There were so many jobs asking for impossible experience, or jobs vaguely related to my field at exploitative pay that required a Bachelor’s. I did manage to find a decent job (still shit pay) but only because of a connection.
For my college, tuition would not be impossible with an ok job. When I read the headline I read it more as younger people seeing college as a scamthat can’t even get you a job after the ordeal of all the schoolwork and money lost.

Despite free speech supposedly legally allowing protests and demonstrations there is still a real risk of being imprisoned.
My point is even “free speech” is not total free speech in the United States for example. There are still compromises in free speech so we may preserve order. Allowing free speech to that extent lets these movements flourish.

No, fuck off with your take. That is free speech taken to a literal extreme. Allowing free speech to this extent encourages fascist and Nazi movements to flourish. Nazis should feel uncomfortable or unable to express these views.

Federation really isn’t hard to understand especially when you dive in and start using it. I don’t understand anyone who says otherwise.
Somehow this sentiment exists in the selfhosted subreddit and is why the community didn’t move to Lemmy. One of the last places I’d expect to let something kinda technical scare them tbh.

Damn. Too bad. But those are both interesting games to have the source code of.

Evidence wouldn’t be as concrete as source code, but there was plenty of evidence from data miners. Gamefreak kept moving goal posts when it came to why it wasn’t feasible for Sword and Shield to have all the Pokémon which is my frustration with that situation. I think they complained about the capacity of the cartridge the games were stored on was one, which was readily proven wrong. Dont quote me on that. But I do think the situation with the models was ultimately the case.

Good. Couldn’t have happened to a worse company other than Nintendo.
Now people can verify if Gamefreak’s excuses for not including all Pokemon in each game since the Switch games are real. And verify how low effort their games are.
And specifically this is for TTV.LOL revolving around Twitch.
I think the same applies to YouTube in the same countries Twitch can’t play ads in. But I haven’t seen anything about YouTube adblocking proxies like TTV.LOL.
Even then, the only fool proof way of getting around server side ads is using an adblocking proxy that pipes the video stream into a different country. And public proxies available are not foolproof because of excessive traffic or whatnot.
Unmotivated? Its a literal checkbox in the anticheats that games package to enable running in Proton. This is not Valve’s responsibility, but idiot or lazy game companies/devs.
Secure boot is what I think you’re thinking of because of Battlefield 6. But as I understand from just skimming it, its handled a bit differently in Linux than Windows, so unsure of how that could be handled or adapted for native Windows games.
