The cod was believed to be the king of the fish. I hope to live up to the name 🐟

  • I love her large ears. Reminds me of a fox.

Islay was named after the scotch, so you were right about the island in Scotland! When she was a little younger, the grey in her coat was far lighter in colour and looked like a smoky colour, so I figured since Islay is usually a smoky scotch (and my personal preference for any hard liquor outside of Canada), the name seemed fitting. We would’ve called her Peaty if she went by he instead, for the same reason.

I hadn’t put two and two together with my username here, that’s hilarious.

  • When I told my coworker about Islay, she got very excited to use that fact to help support her arguments with her right wing family or whoever she argues with about this sorta thing. Thankfully all my friends and family are left wing, most are far left, so I don’t ever have those sorts of arguments in my life, but I was more than happy to help her situation.

  • I like this way of doing it. For me:

Nostalgia and all-time enjoyment, probably Pokémon Gen 2 / Remakes (Silver / Gold / Crystal / SoulSilver / HeartGold). I consider them all one game of different “flavours”. If I had to choose one I’d probably go with SoulSilver. The remakes added some much needed modern conveniences, and having your Pokémon follow you around in the overworld was awesome.

Pure “this game is so good”, probably Elden Ring. Before the DLC I’d probably go with Dark Souls III because of Gael and Friede, but Shadow of the Erdtree blew me away.

Most hours played, Skyrim at over 5,000. HITMAN is in second place at a bit over 1,300.

  • Some of my all-time favourite games. When Hitman 2016 came out I used to do silent assassin suit-only speedruns of Sapienza, honestly one of my favourite challenges to do since I usually suck at video games. No idea how I got good at that one very specific challenge, but being good at something feels pretty good! I estimate 75% of my playtime is probably in just Sapienza. I also really liked Hokkaido too. The patient zero mission on that map was one of my favourites.

If you get the chance to pick up Hitman 3 on sale I’d recommend it still. The regular levels are all great. I agree that the DLCs and stuff were annoying, but I still got them anyway and don’t regret it. More content for Hitman will always be a plus with me. I won’t buy the cosmetic stuff though, that’s not worth the money to me.

  • The last option on my dad’s Apple Watch is “Can I call you later?” and he accidentally sent it to the family group chat one time, so now that’s his staple response if he doesn’t have something to contribute to the conversation. Honestly it’s one of my favourite running jokes now and makes me laugh every time, no matter how many times he does it

  • I mod a couple communities already, the biggest of which has a few thousand members, I’d be happy to add another. I don’t want to be the only mod, but I’d happily join a mod team

As a side note, if anyone knows of any iOS apps which send push notifications for reports, that would be awesome. Mod notifications are much easier to handle when I can see it on my Lock Screen
