Running server backs up to two local disks which can each hold 2 days at a time, but they both hold the same 2 days. Every night the most recent backup is uploaded offsite (friend’s house) where is stored versions in a normal scheme.

Contracts are meaningless without the state as an enforcement mechanism. The state has an interest in contracts, which it defines in like, ‘contract laws’. These laws put superseding constraints on contracts. I understand, that in the case of this farmer, no laws may have been broken. What I’m saying is that there could (and perhaps should) be such a law. Just like in a residential lease, the landlord can’t override legal protections.

There’s shit that should be illegal no matter how a contract is written. An example that comes to mind is how landlords love to put things in a lease that aren’t legally enforceable.

Typical security advice is to turn off “find me by my number” in the Signal security settings. You may well have friends who use Signal, but have turned that setting off. You may consider turning it off yourself. Also, you should turn off “see my number” on the same settings screen.

Looks really cool. I’ve been using own tracks with Nextcloud, but it’s not very reliable, especially with my wife’s iPhone. Unfortunately for me, Reitti hasn’t been packaged for Yunohost yet, but I will keep an eye on it!

I genuinely think you may just be more familiar with PS. I use “Get-Printer” all the time, but it’s not like I was able to discover that command or syntax without web searches. Same with “cp” in bash. I had to learn it and use it, but I’m never going to forget it now. Something that seems inconsistent/unintuitive to me in PS, is some commands specify an object with:

-Name ="the name"

Other times it’s like:

Name "the name"

I keep a notebook handy for things that I use as frequently as several times a week.

In bash if you type the verb, then hit tab it will list the possible options, right? Is that not the same kind of thing?
