    Ppl: Uh um, well…

Salmon: How did you know pink was my favorite color!

    ppl: Uh, what?

Salmon: Yeah! All the prettiest flowers are pink! I also like the sense of calm the color instills, the feminine yet loud conveyance, the fact that it’s the color of my birth stone…

ppl: oh, well, that’s pretty cool

Salmon: And the fact that it reminds me of the blood of my enemies, and awakens my chaotic and violent nature upon seeing it!

The salmon specifying “outsides” in the second line implies it knew its insides were pink and that pink was a possibility. Should’ve said “like my scales.”

Is the color named for the inside? I thought it was because of how they turn red, when they’re on their way to mate (link for reference)

Sockeye aren’t red most of their lives. Just when they return to fresh water on their endeavor to reproduce. ( die)

I find it interesting that their heads turn a different color than their body.

Considering most people only see the meat it makes sense. Most people have no idea what they fish itself looks like.

It is one of this world’s only mercies that fish have very tiny brains and cannot fathom the concept that literally every other animal loves eating them.

No, Salmon, calm down… It’s not pink, it’s salmon… Because… We love you that’s why
