I think it’s a little more nuanced than that. The US is a Christian nation. Illegals are an imminent threat to the economic and physical security of the US. Illegals are using Bibles for faith and comfort. That is, these particular Bibles are actively aiding and abetting enemies of this Christian nation and are therefore functionally anti-American and anti-Christian. As a nation for which freedom of religion is a minimum standard, it has zero tolerance for anti-Christian Bibles. So, in this way, the Federal officers that are confiscating Bibles are doing the Lord’s work by protecting constitutional rights. Hope this helps clear things up.
Literally did not read this as satire first time through. Not sure your diction or tone are the issues, though. Satire is when you use the absurd in a demonstrative fashion. It doesn’t work so well when the MAGA crowd left absurd in their rear view mirror months ago.
Your writing style is awesome. It’s the environment where your ideas aren’t absurd enough that is the issue. But it’s now a fine line between absurd enough for satire and straight up whackadoo.
I am seeing people make the same types of arguments on Facebook - we’ve really gone past satire at this point, people actually believe things like what you said.
Wow, that would be hilariously absurd if it weren’t actively destroying people’s lives. We might have gone past the point of an empirical, objective reality at this point, too. Good luck to us all.

Clearly this is satire, people
Thank you. I think I need to work on my writing style.

I couldn’t tell if satire or if an actual maga wrote it.
Thanks! Wait…I mean, how dare you! Man, I am really torn about how to take this.
