The fun of Lemmy’s “all” is that you see posts from all around the world. Today my feed is suddenly full of memes in German about an old white guy with an eyepatch. Who is he, and why is he suddenly a meme?
I dunno why he’s wearing the patch, but that’s the German Chancellor, and yesterday he posted that photo with an eyepatch and basically dared the whole internet to make memes of him.
He fell while running and had to have the eye patch because of an injury. “It looks worse than it is” comments suggest it’ll come off at some point.
Maybe he’ll get cyborg eyes and give us another round of memes?

Germany’s Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, had a jogging incident and is wearing an eye patch to cover the bruises. The picture just screams “use me for good memes”.
The guy with the eye patch is Olaf Scholz, the German chancellor. He fell during his morning jog, and got himself a black eye and some scratches. And he was quite pro-active, he just told people to go ahead, he’d like to se the memes made out of it. Best he could do in that situation.
