The Trinity cannot be explained by metaphors. Seems you’ve discovered that. It’s unlike any created thing.

If it’s not the literal word of God, then how do you test it’s accuracy. Lots of religious texts have been very well preserved. If the bible isn’t the lieral word of God, then maybe you don’t really know whether your future is in eternal reward.

I believe Jesus was a historical person and actually rose from the dead, and is in fact God. So I believe everything He taught is correct, as well as those He ordained (His apostles) and those He referred to (the old testament)
