That’s an understatement on the level of saying USA dropped some things in the middle east while visiting. It’s a systematic promotion of corruption, and neoimperialsm.
China loaned us money at the highest interest rate but with no oversight, so a Chinese company can build the most expensive highway in the world, using Chinese prison labour, that gets fucked up after the first rain. Or a tunnel that needs to be closed down after a week because it’s going to collapse. Or to renovate a building for twice as much a new one would cost, and still have it fall apart and kill people.
They’re helping the criminal regime steal billions, while making record profits, and they’re approaching the stage of claiming land as massive stretches of national parks, rivers, and other national resources have been privatised. To top it all off, their factories have absolutely no oversight, and have been directly pumping out unprocessed toxic sewage into rivers that are used as water sources.
There are plenty of sources like this. But I can see their camps, and when it gets cold, also smell them from 20 mins away because they don’t have hot water.
And what I’ve described is just a variation on the same neoimperial scheme to promote corruption in order to gain land and resources. You can find the same scenario happening across the third world. If you’re having trouble finding any evidence, then you’re not really trying…

I’m having trouble finding much evidence for much of that. Got any sources for Chinese prison labour being used, for a start?
