Hi all! It’s been a while since I posted here. I have a bad habit of buying a lot of games in bundles on Humble and Fanatical, and have gathered quite a large amount of game keys that way.
More than I can reasonably play in my life. Especially since I am also still interested in new games coming out ;).
So I had the idea to give something back to this awesome community. A free steam key for everyone (*) who genuinely desires one. Just mention what types of games you like to play and I will try to find one that fits. These are all relatively cheap games, so don’t expect any AAA blockbusters. Please don’t just ask for a game to then resell it, I will not say what game it is so you will have to redeem it to know your gift ;).
(*) I will stop eventually, so we’ll see how long this statement stands ;).
🎁🎁🎁
I started to think of something but…I don’t really need anything. It’s very nice of you to do this for others. Happy holidays
Edit: I got a game called Once Upon a Jester, and it’s so cute and whimsical. You play a traveling two-man theater show and you kinda CYA the different story beats and play little minigames designed around each one. It’s fully voiced and the actors are very charming and likeable. Gonna try playing this one with my kid, it seems like something we can both enjoy together! Thanks again OP.
I’m broke so a new game to play would hit the spot, thank you so much! I like crafting games, cozy games, and arcadey retro style games, but really I play a bit of everything.
Hi again!
If that’s okay (and if still have keys) may I ask one for my sister too? She doesn’t have Lemmy. She likes RPGMaker (or similar) games, it shouldn’t have any explicit content but horror is fine to some degree I think.
I’ve done a few, but must sleep now, I’ll continue tomorrow morning :)!
Wow, thank you for such a generous offer and help making this community better.
I’ve got quite a backlog, so I’m good on games this year - but really thank you for doing this! It’s a fantastic idea.
This is an amazing offer.
I’d take you up on it, but I already have thousands of games in my backlog, so it’d be a waste of a key. But I wanted to let you know I appreciate you doing this for the community!
Thanks that’s really nice.
I like to play open world, strategy, cozy, exploration, problem solving, a lot of things.
What kind do you like playing?
Edit: I received Nova lands. It looks right up my alley, Thanks
As you can see in the amount of games and genres I hovered up last year(s), I am interested in a lot of stuff.
Mostly interesting, meaningful games which are not too long and have a good narrative or emotional impact. I also love a good puzzle game, as there the emotional impact comes from solving the puzzle and appreciating the design. But also big blockbuster experiences if they are well designed and have a captivating narrative. My favorite games I played this year are:
- The Last of Us Part I
- Monument Valley
- God of War Ragnarok
- The Case of the Golden Idol (waiting for a price dip on the sequel)
- Thank Goodness You’re Here!
- If Found…
- Outlast
- Platonic
- Cocoon
- The Walking Dead: The Final Season
Cool idea, and thanks for setting this up!
I typically most enjoy emotional, narrative experiences. Think Heart of the Woods, To The Moon, In Stars and Time, etc
Edit: they gave me Mutazione which looks super compelling and to my interests - thanks stranger!
Thanks for offering! Let’s see what you come up with!
I really enjoyed Hyper Light Drifter but not sure I would be into hardcore soulslikes. I do like roguelites though, I liked playing Wall word. Spelunky was also good.
— I got Trinity Fusion! Looks like something for me for sure! Thanks again!
I like rpg’s where you have a lot of options for character or team customization.
Happy holidays and thanks for the gifts <3
I really love city building / management / medieval triangle but I already have many from these, would love to see more though. I also love trains and ships. I’m quite picky though, so don’t send me any if you think there aren’t games like these in your list. However depending on the situation, i can give some examples from my taste.
Anyway, hope people like your gifts and actually play them sometime, or at least give them a chance. \o/
Got “Airborne Kingdom”. While it looks like something I might enjoy, it actually surprised me because I wasn’t expecting something unusual. Kinda looks like Besieged, at least the aesthetics. Hopefully it will be fun for me.
Also, good luck with your mystery games. :)
This is awesome <3.
I like Rogue Lights and cozy Indi-games (esp. where you can hoard lots of cute animals).
I got Wall World. And it looks like a really fun game. You really made my day, OP! Thank you so much! <3
Wall world is quite nice, not a super deep long game but very enjoyable!
I’ve been playing for a few hours and had a lot of fun. Definitely worth a try for Rogue Light fans.
Ohhh, this is great. Thanks for doing this! I love point & click adventures and puzzle/mystery games.
Thank you OP! I got Beyond the Edge if Owlsgard which looks awesome and right up my alley!
Yeah that one really felt like a perfect match!
Woah, that is very different from all other giveaway approaches.
I’d like something to play with my 8 year old. We’ve had a lot of fun playing the Untitled Goose game, Pizza Possum, Moving out and Overcooked (the second one, the first was too difficult).
No worries if nothing fits the bill! Thanks!
Edit: thanks! Got Yellow Taxi goes Vroom. Not sure my kid will enjoy it but I play games for myself too, so I’ll definitelt check this one out. Looks bizarre!
Open world survival / base building and indie game are most of the game i play as i am a patient gamer so i always wait for good deal or free game i must add that i only play on steamdeck if you have verified game if not thanks anyway for doing a giveaway
Got Dredge fishing advemture with lovecraftian theme ? Yes that my kind of game !
Thanks a lot for the game ! And really good choice
