So the kittens have been at the clinic for almost 2 weeks pumpkin passed first, then maple past three days ago and yesterday Casper passed. Bonnie was in a decline but now is stable and I’m hoping that she survives because what a sad way to start the new year losing four fosters to parvo 😭 this is utterly the worst part about foster and rescue its emotionally draining. But I just keep telling myself at least these little guys had some love before they were in the clinic. The worst part was because of the parvo diagnosis. I had to throw everything out right so I threw out the playpen they were in with the stockings that I hung for them for Christmas on it and it was just really sad, so I haven’t been posting about the cats a lot because I’m sad.

I had to look up parvo…

Jeez that’s awful. There is no treatment. Just support and hope they pull through.

Feline panleukopenia (also called feline distemper) is a highly contagious, potentially fatal disease of cats caused by the feline panleukopenia virus (FPV, also called feline parvovirus). Kittens are most severely affected.

It’s horrible and has such a high mortality rate. And the worst is how happy and how much they were coming out of their shell to play how excited they were to see me and then suddenly dropped one of them stopped eating so I took them all to the vet and then they dropped. 😭 thank goodness my bed is like amazing cause she knows our rescue so she’s not charging me. She’s charging me for just the whole group of kittens as one or else that Bill I mean the Bill is still gonna be crazy, but I would be a lot worse if it was a kitten because I’ve been in the hospital I think two weeks now maybe a little more.
