If you pay for ad-free the admob library isn’t loaded
I just used my play store credit. Easy peasy lemon squeezy

That’s bog standard admob. If you have ANY app with ads on your phone you have already agreed to all of that so it’s moot.
I just paid for it the moment I bought it because I want to support Ruben. Fantastic dev overall, anytime I had an issue with the reddit version he personal would respond and either patch it himself or already have an answer

We do what we can. Privacy is not go full on paranoid or go home. I might have worse data collecting pos apps that I definitely need on my device but I at least use FOSS softwares from Fdroid whenever I can. It helps.

Why is that silly? It’s an individual choice, but for many of us that’s a huge turn off when we are striving for less of that in the world and there are alternatives.

Yesterday, my Android phone showed that Boost was installed by auto-scrolling to my 3rd home screen where there was space, but I didn’t ask to install it. What could’ve caused this to happen?

Did you sign up for it. I “preordered” it off the app store so the moment it was available it installed itself.
It’s possible I did so months ago, but I can’t be for sure 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Pretty sure it only asks if you install via 3rd party stores like Fdroid, not the play store.

For you to say it’s obscene levels is hilarious because no, that’s just admob. Many apps have way worse, all this is just, again, the basic Google analytics bullshit that’s already happening on your phone if you have Google software installed.
