Right. Putin would love it if NATO didn’t exist, because then there would be nothing stopping him from expanding the Russian empire all the way to the Atlantic.

They don’t need 900 military bases around the world to invade their neighbors and steal their land.
What about the entirety of the European army? What about simple reality? Do you think that just because the West is expansive and invasive like cancer that Russia necessarily will be that way? You understand how the war in Ukraine took place and how America couped them, right? That Ukraine is in everything but name (but even in the theatrics you can see it) an American proxy state? Is that why others also fear China, because they associate capacity for murder and power to bloodthirst and amorality since that’s all they know?
Ukraine is an Israel proxy. Might not make sense yet but just wait.
We, on the other hand, don’t accept Russian troops in a sovereign Ukraine. And actually don’t accept Putin in general.
