I hate the blatant racism when they claim stuff like “they don’t value human life” or “life is cheap in the east” and other similar things that come up so often.
I am interested with how the social credit system actually works and how much it impacts day to day life.
- China’s Social Credit System, and how it isn’t actually Black Mirror
- The US has more CCTV’s per capita than China.
- The US’s credit score system is vastly more influential and detrimental to a majority of its population than China’s social credit system, which largely doesn’t even exist, and where it does exist it is only used to target businesses.
To be expected at this point.
In the sense that you know it it isn’t real. Its simply a system that stops those in debt who can’t/refuse to pay it back from buying luxuries like five-star hotel rooms and first-class seats on trains. You can still buy coach and standard rooms just not luxuries. I don’t know all the specifics as I’m neither a lawyer nor have I had to deal with it personally.
