In just three days of fighting in the Middle East, more than 800 Patriot missiles were used — more than Ukraine has received throughout the entire Russian full-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a press briefing on March 5.

The statement comes as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East after the U.S., in a joint operation with Israel, carried out strikes on several Iranian cities on Feb. 28 that killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

“Ukraine has never had this many missiles to repel attacks. More than 800 have been used over the past three days alone,” Zelensky said.

Absolutely shameful that the US started a pointless war, without congressional approval, then burned through a known limited resource that could have been gone to protect lives as protection from unjustified aggression. Instead, some chucklefuck decided to BE the aggressor and waste these protecting bases from retaliation that wasn’t coming until he stirred up the shit.

For the US (which has always been an imperialistic pos country, never the savior of the world), this is not a pointless war. Is the most simple of all modern wars: oil war. Iran has the power to block 20% of the world’s oil supply. This is as simple as it gets, you just need to drop the rose-tinted glasses and realize that the USA js not, and has never been, any sort of paragon of morality and justice. It’s an Empire built by Oil and Billionaire Pedophiles. It’ll always do the shameless thing, because it knows no shame, and it has never known any shame, it just used to be a bit better at marketing.

I won’t say you are wrong but I can still be pissed about this and expect/demand better while recognizing that there is a longstanding historic pattern of shitty and shortsighted behavior directed by incompetent and morally deficient corporate stooges against the better interests of the people they are supposedly representing.

I keep reminding myself: I’m not the empire.

The US did a bad job shaping you into what it needs most, an unthinking self-interested cur. We were supposed to repeat its myths without actually believing in them, apparently. Myths like “give us your huddled masses”, “we the people”, and the “rule of law”.

Pretty words. They should have been real. I find the more I disentangle myself from any national identity, the better I feel.

This helps out two groups: the military industrial complex and the Russians. Makes more sense than the current shit going on.

Just call it a special military operation lol.

      Also this

Following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, relations took a downturn during Yair Lapid’s tenure as Prime Minister of Israel.[3][4] Relations improved after Netanyahu’s return as Prime Minister, although cooler than they were before the invasion.[5] Unlike many Western countries, Israel has maintained relations with the Kremlin, refused to impose sanctions against Russia, and rejected calls to send military aid to Ukraine.[6] Relations became strained during the Gaza war.[7] However, Russia did not send any military aid to Iran during the Iran-Israel war.[8] The Russian language is the third-most widely spoken first language in Israel after Hebrew and Arabic; Israel has the third-largest number of Russian speakers outside of the post-Soviet states and the highest as a proportion of the total population; in 2017 it was estimated that 1.5 million Israelis could speak Russian, which would amount to 17.25% of Israel’s population.[9][10] Over 100,000 Israeli citizens live in Russia,[11] with 80,000 of them living in Moscow,[12] while hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens live in Israel.[9]

If it helps, they were never meant to protect the US homeland. Logistically there is too much coastline and not enough batteries. You have the same amount of protection as you did before.
