Memes aside, you guys know he actually did this right?

You know the, “he didn’t do it” thing is a meme. As in, “oh no, he was totally with me that day. We were feeding homeless people at my local church”

It’s a meme because we support what he did

But in reality, he’s guilty as fuck. He totally did it

Sure, but also, he killed that man

These comments lead me to believe that a large portion of this site literally thinks that he’s literally an innocent man being framed by the government instead of everyone just pretending like he’s innocent because we support his actions

            I support Luigi

            But also, Luigi did it

I know that. I’ve always known that. He’s never really denied it. He just admitted it himself

We all joke around that he’s innocent and that he was with us at church or whatever… that the real shooter is a woman or whatever… but these are jokes. we don’t actually think he’s innocent, we’re just pretending like he’s innocent to show support

There seems to be a crazy amount of people who don’t understand that though and might actually think that Luigi literally was with me at church that day and that I did actually see a 9 foot Amazonian woman pull the trigger.

There seems to be a crazy amount of people who think Luigi is being framed because they apparently believed the comments they read on the internet not understanding that we’re all joking out of support

And people who didn’t know this and just picked .world because they were looking for an alternative to reddit and did not look into the subcultures… Then is too lazy to switch until forced for one reason or another. (That’s me btw :p)

Yeah, that was my thought process. I’m kinda lazy when it comes to switching stuff as my mentality is “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”. So until I get banned, or I find the instance intolerable probably going to stick to .world. Same reason why I eventually jumped to Pop OS after ditching Windows and haven’t distro hopped. Since I find it pretty damn handy for my use cases even though other better ones might exist according to the various communities.

He’s pleading guilty to stalking in the federal case, and NY law can force the state murder charge to get dropped if the federal case is resolved first, due to NY double jeopardy laws.

There’s zero chance he gets acquitted anyway, so this is likely the smartest move for him.

They’re not going to drop a murder charge because he got found guilty of stalking. That’s not how double jeopardy works.

It is in New York. Charges arising from the same action are double jeopardy, even if they’re different charges.

Stalking resulting in death, is as close to murder as you can get with federal charges. There’s no federal murder statute.

              They’re the same action.

Ok…. The federal charges carry a life sentence. So not sure what your point is.

The NY state law is extremely strict and this would kill the state case. That’s not opinion. That’s NY law.

I think this is for the state case.

Why would you think that? The article, even the headline, clearly says it’s for the federal case.

Are you commenting without reading, or do you just read that badly?
