I need brain bleach.
The child died in November of last year. They waited until now to file charges. I’m guessing it was to ensure they had all the facts.
Leyton said the father has a good job and the family has real health insurance. The morning the child died, they even called their veterinarian to have their dog treated.

12·4 months agoThis user was arguing, off-topic, gaslighting, and trying to start slap fights. Couple that with over 7 reports made by them against anybody who disagreed, I gave them a 3-day timeout.

I have removed this comment, but not for that, as “Trustafarian” isn’t a race - it’s slang for “trust fund kids that live a hedonistic lifestyle”.
I removed it for misinformation.
They were all down voting today. All the accounts were created today
They are not banned on Lemmy.world. Just on the news community. I have notified the admins, so they should receive the ban hammer soon.
I banned all those users for being vote manipulating bots.
We do not condone piracy or other illegal activity on this instance. It’s in the instance-wide TOS.
I’m done with everybody attacking one user for speaking up against piracy.

201·11 months agoThe admins gave me and others the decision. I didn’t ask for this.
As such, I decided to go with the least amount of headache, and have removed him from communities I am top moderator of. @jordanlund@lemmy.world is free to re-apply, and I will gladly discuss this.
The admins decided this without actually discussing this with me. They merely reminded me that as top moderator I had the power to remove moderators beneath me. They never mentioned to me that I would be taking on the role of top moderator of other communities until I was made aware of this post and the update.
The admins on NUMEROUS occasions have had no issues stepping in and moderating on our behalf, without discussion. The fact they want to defer now is odd, as this is a first-time occurrence.
I just didn’t want to be the final decider of a bigger topic.
This may be the final straw that breaks this camel’s back. I’m not sure how much more BS I can deal with.
No. I was merely reminded that as top moderator, I could remove Jordan Lund. I said then, and still say that I had no reason to remove him.
The fact that their decision was basically “It’s on you, we’re done here” was unwelcome.
