Totally with you. For me a perfect phone consists of:

    • Big Ass Battery (BAB) (Also make it changeable, so i can bring one with me and “charge” it in a second)
    • Headphone Jack
    • USB-C (Obviously)
    • 60Hz Display (Once you look at 120Hz you can never go back so I dont want to, also it drains battery)
    • microSD-Card (You can change, maybe with support to up to 1 TB just for funsies)
    • 4G (It is more than enough. 5G also drains your battery)
    • One Camera (Honestly still not over how goofy those 2+ camera sets look, they are even on cheaper phones nowadays)
    • Latest Security Patches
    • Normal sized and light (Have to be able to reach the top with one hand.)

I just want phones to last longer than a day again :(

Too late for me. My current phone has 165 Hz (Motorola Edge 40 Pro) and I don’t want to go back to a mere 120, let alone 60.

Yea, have 120Hz on my Desktop Monitor since 2016 and am now stuck with it myself, weirdly enough I still don’t miss it on my phone as my brain just does not expect it there.

You probably could trick your brain and just reduce it 1Hz at a time?

My dream phone would be similar, but with 5G and the usual larger size (imo the tradeoff is worth it in my case).

It would also have a silicon carbon battery to have the huge capacity, and most importantly a CPU limiter in the OS to stop it from eating up power by constantly turboing.

      I disagree with this one

4G (It is more than enough. 5G also drains your battery)

You’ll need to upgrade again if/when the network support changes. I’d prefer that it was future proofed

I do not worry about that: I live in Germany. I’ll be long dead before anything changes around here 👍

Which ones exactly? And are they bad things to lack rather than minor preferences? I’m pretty sure it has both the front and back camera, so I guess it doesn’t meet the one camera priority.

maybe it’s the headphone jack? is that really important?

:( Way to ruin somebodies hopes and dreams.

Have the Pixel 3A which gets pretty close. Does not have swappable Storage and only the latest security patches as there are still, what feels like, two random people backporting security patches as its not officially supported by LineageOS. Not sure how long that will last.
