You don’t understand how a freezer works, you need to look up the difference between convection and conduction. A freezer relies primarily on convection and without airflow you’re not getting that hence the coils at the back freeze while the food at the front thaws.

      ??? Apparantly you don’t.

If you put everything in the center, so there’s airflow around the entire freezer, but the middle is packed solid, there’s the required airflow to prevent what you’re talking about. But optimizes the cooling and minimizes freezer damage from defrost cycles. Since the middle won’t defrost….

I never said it was packed solid tight you couldn’t stick anything else in. I said the middle specifically, not all over. You should never have anything against the sides of your freezer anyways? Have you not read a manual for one ever? Same for your fridge as well.

If you put everything in the center, so there’s airflow around the entire freezer [emphasis added]

This entire thing started by saying a freezer needs airflow, which you then countered by saying as long as it was frozen you don’t need airflow, and now you’re back peddling by saying you do need airflow. Good to see you actually agreed with every thing I said this whole time but inexplicably couldn’t communicate that.

          What?

Just because something went over your head you’re gonna act like this?

My comment was obviously in reference to just tossing everything in, which would pack the sides, but leave massive voids IN THE MIDDLE. Which is actually terrible for how to pack a freezer, although “airflow”. But not the right airflow.

It relates to the posted image. If you can’t comprehend this and you start insulting people… get help.

If you’re packing your freezer full of boxes like the back of the truck, that’s the wrong way, you’re trying to claim it is the right way, you’re wrong on every level.
