    Considering that its left hand (right side from the viewers’ perspective) has a thumb on the side turned inwards, away from us, it stands to reason that the other hand would have one as well, on the opposite side facing us. But the paw on the shoulder doesn’t have one. So that’s a second left paw.

    I suspect it’s holding a dismembered wolf’s left arm with the right, behind its back and reaching up, which would also help make it feel more like someone else’s paw.

    I’m pretty sure that putting a dismembered arm on your shoulder is a bit odd.
