There is a certain brand of Christianity for which the current nation state of Israel is somehow magically a direct continuation of the Jewish tribes from the Old Testament and who are also somehow [now] exempt from the laws outlined therein.

Nevermind that a significant portion of the old testament consists of either the prophets railing against Israel or God punishing Israel for doing evil shit.

To borrow a phrase from King of the Hill, “If those Baptists could read, they’d be very upset.”

Just as our forefathers intended. /s

    This nation needs re-education camps.

Honestly should’ve been northern hemisphere but typical. Serious question would they even pray for Earth or or even our galaxy in the upcoming 500yrs (I say this presumably that space travel may exist safely and possibly)?

You should check out Orson Scott Card. He’s a Mormon, but seems to ascribe to something similar to the OP.

He’s got a rama series and the enderverse where he explores all of that. Probably a lot more, but that’s all I’ve read.

At some point his islamaphobia gets the better of him, but he has quite the body of work and can spin a yarn with the best of them.
