Example: using the invidious RSS feature for YouTube channels instead of subscribing. RSS also works with Nitter.

I had to do that because I don’t read everything. I use RSS as a news feed to scroll and click on whatever I am interested in reading.
I don’t spend anywhere near enough time reading to keep up with all my feeds, so the unread counts on the ones with longer posts just keep going up.
In FreshRSS you can automatically mark new posts as read to disable the unread feature all together.
