lol, made me remember, a friend of mine made a cat mask out of paper in school and decided to wear it at home one day. His - otherwise very very affectionate - cat flipped the fuck out running around the house, hissing and making a scene.
Was kinda funny, but we figured it was a rather stressful occurrence for his car…
We had a monkey mask, and our dog found it so very disturbing. He would get so upset. I think they hate masks in general - you smell like you but your face is gone.

I got a winter hat with cat ears and eyes and I can’t wear it at home cuz it scares the bejesus out of my cats.
Many years ago, I bought a “realistic” cat face baklava, and my cat had a similar reaction.
That must have been a very artistic baker.
