Really should happen to be honest, paired with a mandatory education class and requirement of a license. You already need a license to buy other substances such as cigarettes, alcohol, prescription medication, etc.

Just give the people what they want FFS.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvotes. An education class sounds like a good idea. Using psychedelics/dissociatives can be dangerous for first-timers. Better they be educated about the things they might experience on their first trip.

It’s because illegal substances have a negative connotation of them. It’s ironic because they are not only physically safer than legal substances, but they are also both cheaper and have higher recreational value than them.

Also, if the masses started doing psychedelics, it would be the downfall of capitalism as everyone begins to realize that the world’s governments and corporations are full of shit. Psychedelics really are the metaphorical third eye opener they are touted to be.

I didn’t say anything about not working, though I don’t really recommend doing any substances at all if you are not in a decent enough financial situation.

having ambition is not something only capitalism can provide you with. You can you know, do things, in any system

I dunno. One bad thought can ruin the whole trip. I will agree, however, that psychedelics could have value in psychology. Some people need a good ego death.

Theoretically yes, but that’s only if you dwell on it the entire time. Removing attention from the thought or changing the immediate environment can help if not negate it entirely.

That’s fair. Honestly I think perhaps such curriculum is best left in the hands of whichever organization psychiatric doctors are in.

I don’t think doctors should be building that curriculum either. I think people with knowledge of psychedelics should be building it. Trip sitters from Burning Man, shamans, deadheads, etc

Ideally a first timer would microdose natural psilocybin which IMHO poses virtually no danger long term physically or psychologically. A good method is to mix a little bit in with honey and have a spoonful. Its just enough to see if its something you are potentially into and want to explore more of. Harder stuff like LSD and DMT I can see needing classes or a lisence dont feel the same way about shrooms

Where? You need an ID but not a license specifically where I’m from.

I was referring specifically to the drivers license which is used in place of the standard ID.

Sure but the license isn’t to purchase those products. There is no licensing for them even though you typically use your license to prove your age. You can also use a passport or military ID or a standard state ID that looks exactly like a license but requires no test. A liquor license is to sell, not purchase. And for the record, I like your ideas but using something like a medical card for purchasing weed would have been a better example.

I agree with the medical card as well, but I wouldn’t have any issues with it being done recreationally, I just think that if it is done recreationally it should still have a license associated with it.
