This doesn’t raise questions, this is Russia being dramatic, again.

Everyone knows Israel has nuclear weapons. It’s been a while but I recall the estimate being on the order of 100. I think they also have the ability to deliver them via bombs, SLCMs, and limited range ICBMs.

They’re not going to nuke Gaza. First, they have no reason to do so. Gaza does not pose an existential threat to Israel, and in any case the Israeli military and intelligence forces are more than capable of carrying out the policy of the government. They’re also not going to pop a nuke over their own territory and deal with radioactive fallout, and they know that using a weapon would probably be the only thing that finally alienates the US.

It was an “open secret” but not publicly acknowledged. And of course the statement made is one more on the pile of clear indications of genocidal intent, as well as an indication of people in high levels of the Israeli government advocating the reckless use of nuclear weapons, which I think absolutely raises huge questions.

Russia in general on statements on this conflict, is of course looking to discredit the U.S. and allies, but with the U.S. and allies being horrifically in the wrong in this situation, they don’t have to distort or be dramatic to accomplish that, tbph. My own personal take.
