    What’s the status of rooting the Zenfone 10?

    Last I saw it was some abomination where you need to wait a month and need Asus’s windows tool?

      So it seems like root isn’t even possible on the Zenfone 9 anymore. But I havet confirmed it yet.

      PSA: don’t buy it if you need root. Their unlock servers are shut down and moderators proactively delete topics with questions about it. -u/rngesius

      I didn’t even know you could root Asus phones. The only ones I knew that you could without any hassle was Google and Sony.

        If you need to ask their permission, which they can cut off at any time, and you need their custom software, which they could break at any time, then I might argue that they don’t generally have bootloader unlocking.
