My favorite part about this problem is that it’s entirely self inflicted. This can only happen if you store it in specific orientations. If you store it literally any other way, it’ll bounce off the edge instead of getting caught.
If you’re worrying about wasted room, you can definitely play around some more to find ways to fit.
Personally I just skip all that and either hang them from hooks, or throw them into a tall, upright container (like a vase or can put something). I’ve got all my oddly shaped utensils like that, and I’ve got this old vase thing that stores my most common utensils, within reach of my stove. The access matters more than the storage.
Ha yeah, I have a potato masher that has to be perfectly aligned or it blocks the drawer. But I’ll never stop putting it in there 😆 but I will get pissed every time it causes a problem.
