This galactic community keeps growing, and even though the fear of the Empire seems to keep everyone in check, it would probably still be nice to have a Jedi Council to keep an eye on things too.

In other words, the applications for mods are open. I’ve messaged a few people here over the weeks but nobody had the time. (If I messaged you before and you changed your mind, let me know.)

I’m not joking with the Jedi Council thing either. I don’t want tyranny of mods that can’t be touched. I’m looking for people who are willing to step into a discussion and resolve conflicts if any ever arise. Removal of comments or bans are not tools I like to use, unless it’s something stupid like selling death sticks or hiring a bounty hunter.

Great news is, our citizens are all as chill as Han in carbonite, so being a guardian of peace is actually the easiest job ever. Still gotta be on a lookout for the dark side though. You never know if we won’t get invaded by some unknown Thread.

Also please have Matrix. Discord doesn’t work for me (what a piece of junk).

It would also be nice if you liked memes and Star Wars I guess? That’s why… We’re here.

Ed: Best hit me with a DM here or over Matrix. Not looking for experience, tho I’ll look over everyone’s profiles. Then I’ll throw everyone in a Matrix room with one lightsaber in the middle and see who survives :P

The other thing: please remember to mark sensitive content as NSFW. That includes memes that can attract lewd comments too. I personally have a high tolerance for crude stuff (traveling through the outer rim full of scum and villainy does that to a mf), but people may browse this at actual work too. Tagging something as NSFW is just a click, so no biggie, I think. Use your judgement.

(Yep, so also check if you have NSFW enabled in your profile. It’s disabled by default.)

Yea true, Lemmy devs and community overall are a bit too concerned with nsfw in my opinion.

I dunno what to do about that though, except maybe occasionally remind people to check if they have it disabled.
