President Vladimir Putin warned Wednesday that Russia could provide long-range weapons to others to strike Western targets in response to NATO allies allowing Ukraine to use their arms to attack Russian territory.

Putin also reaffirmed Moscow’s readiness to use nuclear weapons if it sees a threat to its sovereignty.

The recent actions by the West will further undermine international security and could lead to “very serious problems,” he said, taking questions from international journalists — something that has become extremely rare since Moscow sent troops into Ukraine.

“That would mark their direct involvement in the war against the Russian Federation, and we reserve the right to act the same way,” Putin added.

It’s interesting how hard people underestimate Russia again and again. First everyone joked that Putin will never attack Ukraine. Then everyone joked that Putin will be kicked out of Ukraine in 2 days. Then everyone joked about how Ukrainian farmers get free tanks from Russians. Then there were more and more jokes, yet here we are, two years into the war and Ukraine keeps losing civilians day after day and you people still joke… Guess what - jokes don’t help Ukraine.

That is some revisionist shit right there.

      • Noone joked about the pending invasion, actually people took it deadly serious while Russia spent all their efforts promising everyone it was a nothing burger.
      • Then post invasion everyone feared Russia would roll up Ukraine in 2 days, and large supplies of simple AT weapons where rushed in to give Ukraine a fighting chance.
      • Then indeed everyone laughed at the miles long convoy stuck on the roads to Kiev due to fuel supply issues and indeed the farmers that took the abandoned vehicles all over Ukraine.

Now 2 years down the line all we have is hopes for Ukraine, dark humor and vitriol for the Russian military.

And that it won’t help Ukraine is false. It helps by:

      • Keeping the conflict in the active consciousness, these communities help fundraise and more.
      • Jokes keep up spirits (also ukranians see these jokes and memes).
      • Plus it’s fun.

So, I respectfully would like to tell you, you’re wrong.
