Can you imagine the noise trying to live there?
You are the good that makes Lemmy so great.
That was more interesting than I thought it would be, thanks.
“Ground, it’s Fred. Off to work. Request taxi to the road.”
“Fred, Ground, roger. Taxi bravo three, left on Juliet, cross runway 34 right, right on foxtrot to the gate. I’ll let security know you’re on the way. Have a good day.”
“Monitor J-Wave Tokyo, 81.3.”
Narita is such a weird airport. Just in front of RWY 34R there’s a shrine, and between taxiway K and L there’s just someone’s farm. There’s also a ridiculous amount of golf courses around the airport, can recommend trying to count them all
I hope the passengers are not being disturbed by the noise of the machines the owner of that house is using for his agriculture.
The daily exposure to leaded jet fuel fumes though.
Commercial jet fuel does not contain lead, though, thank god.
Lead fuel is still used in many piston engine aircraft, so try not to live near a small private plane airport.
Good to know! I thought it was all types of jet fuel.
It’s not just the lead you’d have to worry about. Commercial jets spew all kinds of nasty shit, and there’s also the significant amount of particulates in the air from the tires. It’s just not safe nor healthy to live that close to an airport, lead or no lead.
Also, I would absolutely not eat the produce from those farms, which according to TFA, they’re still producing and selling locally.
Plus living so close to the planes makes your frogs extra gay
Maybe something for !topview@lemmy.world
It’s the vibe
It’s the Constitution
It’s Mabo
Queue Belford: IM NOT FUCKIN LEAVING!
