Completely agree. Taco Bell is the saddest fucking excuse for Mexican food, it offends me on behalf of all Mexicans/Latinos.
It is barely edible disgusting slop that only tastes ‘good’ if you’ve never had the real stuff, and/or are addicted to it.
Just go to a food truck or actual restaurant, some hole in the wall that serves actual Mexican food.
Not only does it taste a million times better, it is faaaar healthier for you.
And fucking no Chipotle does not count.

Sometimes I want reliably mediocre American interpretations of Mexican dishes. It’s not a crime to like fast food, ya know?
TB isn’t even that, which is the problem. It’s fast-food-ified ideas of Mexican food.
I make Mexican at home that’s 1000x closer and I’m a fucking Yank (plenty of real cooks online, TV, and YouTube).
TB is a bunch of nasty shit on a burger bun that’s been run through a pasta roller.
At best, their tacos kind of resemble campechano tacos… When seen through a drunken haze.
To be honest, I rarely see their tacos outside any other lens.
