In the public domain software world I still mostly only see PDOS and various TempleOS related projects and forks
That’s an unfortunate acronym
Really?
I find it useful as a file server.
Course, you need a special driver for Linux to access the pdofile service.
Why so?
Say it aloud.
PubDOS sounds better IMO
This could be suggested as an alternative name
What is the news?
well tbh not many seem to know of this project so I’m just posting about the project in general (which is presumably new to most people seeing it) but the vlogs are newer this year as well since I last checked the project
So, practically/functionally speaking, how is this different from FreeDOS, and why should I use this instead of FreeDOS?
mostly just software licensing versus FreeDOS and much less functionality (but the focus has been on squaring away basics, anyone could probably add a lot more public domain programs on from this point forward, idk what fundamentals still need to be fixed)
