I lived a few years in the UK and the plugs really annoyed me compared to F.
They were really bulky but also uni-directional. So there was a lot less flexibility in tight spaces (which with the size of London flats…there were a lot of!)

I think some of it comes down to what your brain is used to.
I usually use mouse/keyboard, that kind of constant movement from holding the stick in a certain position is kind of foreign to me. Whereas having the right track pad basically emulating a trackpall mouse instantly felt really natural. In this case it’s like a mouse in that your movement directly translates to camera movement.
You may just be more used to analog sticks
I loooove my steam controller for first-person games. The right track pad for camera controls just clicks with me. I guess it’s because I’m a PC gamer first and foremost, so I’m used to mouse-like aiming rather than the analog-style stick aiming.
I never really used the left track pad though…
That being said, I was let down by the steam deck trackpads. Maybe I just have big hands, but I could never use the right track pad the same way I do with the steam controller.
Also a general comment: AA/AAA is the best if you get some rechargable batteries. No waiting for charging when something is out of juice! Plus you can just get a new set of batteries if they ever die instead of a whole new controller

I was thinking North Macedonia or something, but then I remembered that the post referenced pounds

It’s also the biggest language (in terms of native speakers) in the EU. Not that it’s anywhere close to a majority…

Christoph Waltz

As a data scientist working in ML: it’s essentially all python outside of some really niche stuff

It’s technically a QWERTY-variant, but I use EurKey

Both were really intense for me, but Jurassic Bark can’t be topped (personally)

I’m genuinely confused how you think that these two examples of internal uprisings are at all connected to someone saying effectively “don’t count on international law to mean anything since there isn’t any body to enforce it”

Germany is actually trending the other way. Modern Parlaments have more parties than they did in the past.

In general, US-based sites/companies are usually terrible with supporting multi-lingualism. It’s not really surprising I guess considering how monolingual most of the country/region is.
For years google maps has annoyed me, since I just wanted a good way to have German and English reviews not be translated, since both are common in my city and I speak both languages.
Somehow it randomly works sometimes and then suddenly will start translating them again. It’s very inconsistent.

I visited family/friends in the US recently (i’ve lived in europe for many years).
Everyone is super upset about the current state of things, angry at Trump etc.
However, they are also generally just convinced they need to wait out these four years and then everything can return to normal.

I think he’s just obsessed with controlling the arctic, since it’s going to be ice-free soon (and thus incredibly important for global shipping)
It’s why his 3 main “targets” are Canada, Greenland, and Panama (for the canal)

It’s literally not any different. Starlink is just a less-reliable broadband internet connection, it has nothing to do with WiFi
I can see what you’re saying, but at this point Elon is the most powerful person in the US, and certainly more powerful than any politician (even Trump).
I don’t think everyone realizes how unbelievably, dangerously rich Elon is. The dude is a moron, but he has enough money to buy out all of our politicians many many times over.

I only have to use this occasionally, but on my android I use the app “Talkatone” to make free calls to phones. They have paid plans to keep your number, but I tend to just use new ones whenever one expires.
It might not suit your needs, but it’s worked pretty reliably for me for the past 10 years or so.

I do a lot of programming, which is generally easiest with the US layout (since most languages were designed using this) but I also type frequently in a couple other languages which have extra characters. For me it’s easier to use than switching layouts.

I can’t live without the EurKey layout! Even had to get approval to add it to our systems at one megacorp I worked for.
I’m also pretty certain that the stock would absolutely tank if he left.
He’s a fucking idiot, but the current valuation has zero basis in reality outside of his personality-cult. If that’s gone, all they are is a struggling mid-sized car company.
