They exist. They’re just not well known. I love my LG Velvet. It’s as unobtrusive as a phone of this processing capability can get. Just about fully stock Android with a few minor apps from my carrier preloaded. It’s about 5yrs old now and not a bit slower than when I bought it. Decent camera, too.

I sincerely respect the candor. FWIW I hope you guys get your own Bernie, not as a socialist, but as someone who’s not afraid to grate against their own party to do what they feel is just. A reasonable man much like you seem to be would do a great bit of good to bridge the forced divide we’ve been dealt. Do you have any conservative figures that you admire right now? Anyone I should keep my eye on as someone to support across the aisle?

That’s a fair argument and I certainly would agree, but that seems very counter to what I’ve seen of GOP values. Hell, truth be told, half the dems don’t want fair tax in the exact same direction. Do you feel at odds with much of the GOP as of late? Less so than the other side, I’m sure. But seeing things from the outside, you never get the full picture.

I’m an outsider, so I hope you take my word that I wish for a good-faith discussion to understand more about your position. Would it be better to use UBI as a means to allow businesses that could not afford high wages, yet are still necessary for society and justly cannot be filled by slave labor, to continue to employ fairly while not pulling them into the red? Is it really so against traditional american values that the working man be as secure as a Wall St. billionaire? Has SS really cost the US more than bailouts to TBTF financial interests in 2008 and 2020?
