Google is not killing uBlock Origin. It’s changing how Chrome works. uBlock Origin will continue to work in my Firefox and other browsers.

When I go to Lemmy, I’m not logged in until I click on a post to read, what’s up with that? I used to stay logged in.

I had to do this with transmission-daemon when the stable version had a nasty memory leak. I use Debian on all my secondary computers, the ones where I don’t need the newest software and don’t want to fuck with it and have it break.

I’ve got a theory on this: They have gay urges and therefor think everyone has them, so they believe that everyone needs to “choose to be straight” and it’s just weak sinners who are giving into their urges.

I think the simplest answer is that Trump “owns the libs” and that’s enough to make people who don’t follow politics vote for him. Hillary ran a pretty shitty campaign also. Trump has definitely gotten older and way more whacky so I guess we wait and see what happens in November.

I’ve been gaming on EndeavourOS for over a year now and have had the opposite experience. All my games work great in Steam with Proton. Granted I don’t play modern AAA shooters or League of Legends which goes out of their way to use bad anticheat that doesn’t support Linux. Only one time I had a game not start right away and all I had to do was install .Net for it or something which was also very easy.

Google added it to their search by default, I had to change my default search to exclude it. Same with my Android phone, I got prompted to switch from Google Assistant to Bard and declined. Really glad I did since I later read about how awful it is. Yesterday I saw a copilot icon in Teams that I have to use for work. I clicked it out of curiosity and it showed an error and then wouldn’t let me use Teams for 5 minutes. When I finally got in the copilot button was gone lol.

I think there’s more AI hate because it’s being pushed onto users that didn’t ask for it and don’t want it from the likes of Microsoft, Google and Amazon. And I think it’s warranted!
