I used to use aptoide for piracy many years ago. I guess that’s not a thing anymore?
Hi! I’m British, I like music (grime, garage, hip-hop, R&B, and more!). I like art, culture, history, politics, & doomscrolling memes.
Also a touch of programming :)

A DNS blocker like pihole, nextdns, adguard etc might help with that.
I feel like it has more to do with the technological advances than being more prone to conflict
I’m cautious about this game. It’s been redeveloped like 3 times into completely different genres, pretty much nothing has been shown about it, and Bioware is nothing like it was years back.
American internet prices are wild.
The more on Lemmy the better, across the board. But convincing them to actually do so seems unlikely unfortunately.
Exist? yes.
Do they work? I have no idea. I’ve never seen anyone use them in like 15+ years.
I did just yesterday, through Prolific. Got paid for it too.
Because it isn’t free, from the perspective of your Lemmy instance you’ll be spam requesting until you find content. Doing it this way ensures you’re less likely to hammer an instance.
You’re going to need to give more information than this zero context screenshot. Is this a virus scanner? If so, which? Why are you scanning? What caused this series of events? What’s the full content of this popup?
Absolute worse case scenario: whatever you’re doing will not irreparably damage your PC. If you break windows or whatever you can just wipe your pc and reinstall windows via a usb stick. However, it’s not clear what’s going on here.
Hosting a Minecraft server is an immensely easier task than implementing a livestream service, lol
How does the process of requesting a street charger work, wouldn’t that require council approval or some such?
People who use WhatsApp but have friends who want to use signal and vice versa.
Your average person really does not care about this stuff, they just want something easy and familiar. This is good for people who care enough to use signal but still want to actually chat to people.
I definitely meant space opera lol oops
Baldur’s Gate story is great, yes.
Dragon Age (fantasy magick adventure) and Mass Effect (space opera) are also great.
Right now, the only method is to use a specific community for this, use sticky posts, or use an external tool.
I used kimovil. Being able to ensure you only get phones that support your data bands is really important imo
Only technically true. The two don’t work super well together, Mastodon is a better frontend if you’re looking for a microbloggingn experience.
I got engaged and travelled across the Atlantic to be with someone I met on irc
