A lot of the posts seem low-effort, near propaganda level posting. We’re talking r/conservative babylonbee type shit.
As for this post? Smith and Wesson are largely disliked for their promotion of a Proud Boys brand formed on Jan 6th under the name Perceeption. That put the gun maker off many enthusiasts list, it’s not tolerable no matter how much the company backpedeled - it signaled support for a dark part of our country.
Sure feels like it. I’ve seen countless low effort propaganda posts from Throwaway and their complaints anytime critical thought enters the discussion.
This community doesn’t appear abandoned, it just isn’t a locked down echo chamber like r/conservative on reddit, the place where users are banned, posts are locked to specific users, and topics which go against the narrative are taboo. That’s straight up unhealthy, unproductive, and dangerous. We can do better here.
Full disclosure: I am not a conservative myself but I appreciate an open community which doesn’t shut out discussion.
Who the heck is proposing we value that? Everyone is saying we value the safety of real children which may entail keeping artificial CP legal.
Also it’s a victimless crime so punishments dealt out are criticized heavily, and for good reason.
I’m torn because your cell phone use sounds pretty healthy but I worry others get a more negative experience overall especially with social media.
Also the idea of anyone prior to high-school having cell phones feels odd to me, when I was in school kids worked summer jobs to buy a phone so senior year of high school was a popular year to get into the cell phone game. I didn’t get one myself until I completed college and thought I’d need it for work (I didn’t). Hardly use it but it is expected to have once you’re in your mid 20s making appointments and whatnot. But do people really expect you to have one in elementary school?
there are pros/cons to each brand, plus there are tons of models across each product line. I own many headsets (index, vive original, vive xr elite, oculus dk2, quest 2) and honestly I can’t say any one of them is the best as each is unique from the screens (oled VS not), wired/wireless, full body tracking, standalone VS pc, comfort, etc.
That being said, I personally go for the vive over quest as it has more accurate tracking (laser VS camera), full body tracking, better screens (OLED), and works better with steamvr.
Plus as a VRChat user I can use vive advanced controls which is a godsend for expressing yourself in VR, other controllers just don’t have as much flexibility in terms of mixing expressions and being able to set intensity levels to each expression ingame.
Some of us pay for premium but still use Revanced and Freetube because they are simply better youtube clients. Sponsorblock, OLED themes, customizable UI, better performance, etc. The adblocking is just icing on the cake
