The “loophole” to strike is if and only if the union can’t reach an agreement on terms to extend their CBA then there is no legal requirement to not strike. Meaning if the negotiations go sideways and the other side isn’t negotiating in good faith as far as raises, healthcare, PTO, etc then the union members can vote to not accept the CBA. if the CBA ends so does the obligation to not strike.
So if you see a gay person smiling and enjoying life…is that gay propaganda? Don’t you see how people can take advantage of the law to punish gay people for existing?

Not the one you asked but…I was a bit nerdy in high school and learned some programming. Nothing big, just c++, basic, and messing around in dos. I had friends try to get me into to Linux in the 90s but I was busy smoking weed and not wanting to learn things anymore.
Fast foward. A few months after joining lemmy and seeing Linux everywhere made me want try it again. I loaded Ubuntu on my old laptop and messed around a bit. Nothing big but I was able to do some basic tasks. It feels like a big world but knowing I could do basic computer things with Linux is a win in my book.
I haven’t really explored behind that, but I think the Linux community is just more into open source and see the clear benefits for humanity in the long run. Maybe that way of thinking just attracts more people to Lemmy. The decentralized aspect of Lemmy was a part of the reason I liked Lemmy. I wouldn’t want another spez or anything.

The US will continue its war on South American, mainly Venezuela right now. Russia will continue to chip away at the EU and push into their territory. China will take Taiwan, but mainly just focus on making money off both fronts. Africa will continue to be exploited by US/Russia/China.
I noticed in high school that a lot of the romance novels involve rape. Like a crazy amount of them start the sexual relationship between the man and woman with rape. Then the woman eventually falls for him.

I was told overcoddling reduces resiliency. Parents always coming in to fix things without letting their kids try to solve it on their own. The kid may fail but the act of trying and figuring out why it failed helps greatly. Most parents just “don’t want to see their kids upset” though.
Take it with a grain of salt, as I don’t have any kids.
