  • It also exceptionally rare that police officers themselves get prosecuted. Chauvin’s conviction was a surprising twist as such things almost never happen. This is one situation where they threw one of their own under the bus to placate the public while the whole situation actually gets worse.

Like ever since BLM got started, the rate of police shootings have only gone up, and funding has increased AND there are far more laws protecting police than before. In many states it is becoming increasingly illegal to film police officers for any reason. So they might have thrown Chauvin under the bus, but they might make it illegal to film cops in his area, so future Chauvins who get filmed will have nothing to fear, as they will arrest the person filming them and charge them, and since the film obtained is criminal it will be dismissed as evidence.

  • I am not sure, but I think Milton Friedman once revealed the depths of his ignorance about racial segregation in the US and that the claim that laws demanding all segregation be dismantled were a violation of the free market principle and that a true free market would dissolve segregation.

Chicago, as you mentioned, was used as an example to show just how dumb he was. Chicago had no official segregation policy. From a purely legal standpoint if an Irishman wanted to get an apartment in a black neighborhood and invite Italian friends over that would be a huge taboo and suffer reprecussions over it even if he wasn’t doing anything remotely illegal.

The only way it COULD have dismantled is to make law to strictly forbid that kind of discrimination on any grounds.

Open carry is a really dumb idea. If a crook who wanted to steal someone’s gun they can easily ambush the carrier to snatch it and escape. The job would be easier if they were working as a gang. Also if a mass shooter does come by and has half a brain cell, they’ll scan the area for anyone openly carrying and take them out first before starting their shooting. You’d have to be REALLY paranoid when open carrying to prevent that kind of thing from happening, and 99.99% of the time you’ll end up pulling a gun on an innocent person and get into some serious legal trouble for it.

What’s more interesting is this is shooter #2 who was once a trump supporter and then, quite dramatically, changed his mind. This deserves some analysis. We’re getting almost no analysis on the first guy.

We don’t have much information on the first guy because there wasn’t much info to be had. The best way I can analyze his behavior based on what was released to the public is ‘hmmm, I want to kill a politician and it’s going to be… let me think? Who is the closest and most convenient for me to get to right now? Oh yes, Trump is having a rally. So Trump it is!’

There is no evidence that he had any thing against Trump personally or politically. He just wanted to kill a politician. If Trump wasn’t doing a rally there, but the mayor of the town was going to make a speech or presentation at that very spot, then the mayor would have been the target. Crooks just wanted to kill a politician, and wasn’t too picky about which politician that was.

Also he apparently planned a whole spree of shootings right after. Not thinking that trying to kill an ex-president is going to make escape practically impossible. I don’t think he even realized there would be Secret Service snipers on the roof tops, and one already had him in his sights before he started shooting, thus making any escape attempt impossible.

I mean if they were serious about guns being used to make sure the tyrants and would be tyrants are always in fear of an assassin’s bullet then what has been happening lately is EXACTLY what the 2nd amendment is intended for… and they are pissed because they are a bunch of wanna-be brownshirts who want to be the armed militia of the tyrant and kill his enemies without fear of prosecution. They just want to do it with their own personal weapons.

Hamas is in charge because Israel disposed of all of its political opponents for it that left the Palestinian people with not much choice. Most of them only voted for them during heightened times of tension and many would later regret their vote. Many people say that Hamas was created by Israel. This is not entirely true, but its growth was nurtured both directly and indirectly by Israel. Even Netanyahu himself admitted of this years ago.

And ISIS is abo-fucking-lutely a highly illegitimate organization. Giving it the slightest milligram of recognition would be the worst thing to do. At any rate ISIS has ceased to exist as political entity (and they only existed as such for a VERY brief period of time) and right now they are just a bunch of disjointed idiots who will occasionally succeed at murdering some people and not achieve anything else at all.

And I was referring to your part where you were referring to Israel’s direct neighbors.

As it stands a war between them right now would be very different than 1948. If Israel cannot militarily defeat a group operating in prison and has had a group of ragtag rebels in Yemen blockade the country (despite them having no navy) I think that Egypt and Jordan of the 2020s can really give the IDF a serious run for its money. Especially if the US grows a pair and stands up to Israel and stops supplying weapons.

But sadly if that happens Israel will go down in history as the only other country to use nuclear weapons in anger… and on itself to prevent the country from being defeated, as per their Samson and Hannibal doctrines.

Israel’s neighbors have long abandoned their vows to fuck over Israel many decades ago. Egypt made peace with Israel in the 70s and Jordan did in 1994. The Gulf states and Saudi Arabia were never serious about opposing Israel and were secretly trying to normalize their relationship with the country for decades before being open about it in the past 10 years.

Even in 1948 the Arabs were militarily handicapped by a combination of colonialism reworking their militaries from actual militaries to glorified police forces, in addition to being very undersupplied and having no unified plan. The 1948 war was a joke. Far from the David vs. Goliath battle that Israel likes to play it off as (the Israeli military at the time was much, MUCH better armed than all of their Arab neighbors combined in addition to being numerically superior to all their adversaries as well).

The Israelis were always monstrous in their conduct towards their enemies. They were always genocidal and extreme in their terrorism. Do you know the great replacement theory or the fear that white supremacists have over minorities gaining any sort of influence with more numbers? The only example in human history where something like that happened WAS by Zionists in their slow takeover over the region. They did, to a T, everything they claimed Muslims do when taking over. Acting all nice when they are the minorities, then demanding more and more as their numbers grow and purposefully push other groups out before demanding everything. All the while never integrating into local communities and forming impregnable enclaves of their own. For example by the 1920s there were Zionist communities in Palestine that had been living there for more than a generation at that point but did not interact at all with the local community. Not even with Arab Jews, and they did not speak any Arabic either.

It has always been projection. Plain and simple.
