I’m totally adding that back into my vocab now 😂
Wish it could sound more like Farquaad, but maybe that on its own is a good enough one. Kinda rolls off the tongue

So, let me get this straight.
Given a choice between evil Pinocchio (this time with international strings!) and a violently orange water balloon filled to bursting with bull’s shit, you’d chose the wooden puppet to throw at the massive human rights abuse apparatus currently fucking everyone’s data up the ass?
Let me know how that goes for you.
I didn’t say better, I said comparable
And faster, without handing over my data and conversations for monetization
Given the locally hosted benefits, and the ability to go to chatgpt for any answer minstrel gives that doesn’t satisfy you, makes it strong competition to chatgpt as the default tool
Hosting it yourself also means you can swap llm’s out based on context and what they’re trained on. Highly tuned models perform better than chatgpt at the things they are meant to excel in.
Aren’t most gamers technically mobile gamers? Pokémon Go has a user base most PC games only dream of
Mistral for chatgpt, and i’m not saying it gives better answers, just that it’s much faster than my web portal to gpt4
Mistral-7B-Instruct-v0.1 is the default, i’m downloading the Llama2 model to test it with now, but many models on HuggingFace should still work
In my tests, the self hosted options that have access to a 30xx or 40xx graphics card return results far faster than gpt4
Pulled up a self hosted option last week to try it out. It’s not gpt4 level, but it’s damn close and I don’t worry giving access to my local documents
PrivateGPT for anyone interested
It’s probably only a matter of time before popular forums lock down even view access to everything except Google, forcing people to use and work with monopolies and shutting out smaller player permanently
The author is right: there is no legitimate justification for WEI
This entire project is to ensure people cant have control of their own systems, because they may act in a way contrary to googles interests (or the governments, or any other party)
You’re confusing ai with chatgpt, but to answer your question: if it’s my own bias, why would I care that it’s in my personal ai? That’s kind of the point: using my personal lens (bias) to determine what info I would be interested in being alerted of
Is there a meaningful difference between reproducing the work and giving a summary? Because I’ll absolutely be using AI to filter all the editorial garbage out of news, setup and trained myself to surface what is meaningful to me stripped of all advertising, sponsorships, and detectable bias
Refusing rust and wasm is a signal you don’t care about code quality or security
See? You can keep playing that game all the way down to the most onerous language
I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.
How could Google allow such blatant incompetence in their products?
it really is as simple as being able to distinguish opinions from facts, and clarifying each in the revew.
Facts: This game has X combat, Y selectable characters, the crafting looks like Z, etc.
Opinons: This game is amazing! 10/10! Best story of all time! GOTY!, etc
You absolutely can have an objective game review, it’s just that no writer wants to do that. They’d rather make it more about their opinions of the game than of the game.
Coconut milk also isn’t actively trying to replace milk, which isn’t true of the other products.
The crux of this issue comes down to trust.
Do I believe the “journalism” whatever outlet you make produces, that it’s what it pretends to be: an unbiased, honest, authentic, and objective opinion piece on a game? Or is it going to be (now or in the future when you sell out) marketing garbage whose purpose is to try and get me to spend money, no matter what lies it needs to tell to do so?
So classic User Value versus Profit motive conundrum.
It’s not a conflict that’s easily resolvable, and I’m far more stingy these days of allowing myself to be profited off of without concrete (to me) value in return, and tbh I don’t see how any type of game review service could avoid the temptations of profit enough for me to trust a damned thing they say.
Good luck, tho
Or ensures the others get locked out, as the business feels the financial sting of the first effort
The coders have their copyrighted works replicated infinitely without royalties as well.
What makes a voice actor’s contributions more meaningful than that? Especially since they can get a half decent voice performance out of any coder and the right generative software which already exists.
Worse is how he actually thinks he’s that
