We don’t need more relativisation of facts, we need the exact opposite. Contrary to a way too widespread belief, opinions are not automatically something to respect and are not all equal, there can be shitty opinions based on shitty facts.
I’ve never been a huge fan of this joke, because way too often it is being used by bigots to justify their bigotry.

As someone who is on the verge of making the switch to linux, it is a bit daunting that linux is presented as only “getting closer” and not actually being a real alternative to Windows.
