  • I disagree.

The German narrative revolves heavily around creating some idea of a shared “Judeo-Christian” cultural history in opposition to the “Islamization” by evil Arabs. It goes as far as trying to shif the blame for the holocaust and German antisemitism onto Arabs, ignoring the millenia of christian antisemitism in Europe and the prosperity and safety of Jews under muslim rule during the same time.

One of the core narratives of Israel is the claim they are coming back to land supposedly theirs and stolen from them by the Palestinians. But the reality is that the people never left. They became Christian and later Muslim, some stayed Jews.

  • So who gets to decide what was “outside propaganda” grave enough to not recognise an election result? Will this be a general criteria or just a convienent selectively enforced one?

Because if this is a general criteria, next time Russia just needs to make propaganda for the strongest party and have the court annule the result and redo the election infinitely.

If it is only selectively enforced, it is just undemocratic and a measure by the current rulers to abolish democracy. Think about people like Orban just claiming there was too much foreign propaganda for the opposition.

Finally from a democratic theory point of view it doesnt work. Either every vote has the same value and you have a democracy. Or there is arbitrary decisions on whose vote is worthless because they were too dumb to fall for foreign propaganda, effectively removing the fairness and freedom of the vote.

Also these measures dont address the route cause. If the propaganda can get people to elect someone it can get them to do other things, like revolting, sabotage, violent crime… You need to address the propaganda channels and psychological attack angles.

  • I am not so sure about this.

The people who made their opinion based on tiktok will be pissed off. The article mentions no proof of rigging or other direct interference with the voting process itself. This is a huge problem for democracy, if the image is that only the candidates approved by the court are allowed to be elected and unfavorable election results get annulled. And Russia will play this angle heavily.

Unless there is specific evidence of the voting process itself being rigged, this sounds like a recipe for disaster. Then Russia could even get a civil war in an EU country out of it rather than just a pro-Russian candidate winning.

  • They have been brainwashed to believe the entire world is antisemitic and out to get them. Evidence to the contrary, like the insane amount of support they received from the US, UK, Germany and others is conveniently ignored.

Noticed how immediately after October 7 they ramped up claims of antisemitism supposedly being a huge problem on college campuses? Evidence to the contrary is ignored. Jews partaking in protest against Israels genocide are ousted and declared to be traitors or “not really jewish” while being beaten up by the police and far right thugs. So actual attacks on Jews are ignored, while imagined attacks on Jews are peddled as narrative.

The goal is to tie all Jews in the world in with Israel and to make all Jews outside of Israel unsafe, so Israel can claim its right to existence as “only safe place for Jews in the world.” Jews outside Israel evidently being far more safe, both from non Jewish attacks and from Jewish fascists, is a danger to Israels core narrative.

  • You have to differentiate between “gifted” and “sold”. Not all of these weapons are gifted and in total it is a small amount relative t Germans budget.

The main damage is that Germany is actively working to destroy the rule based international order it helped to build, which will also backfire on trade, climate protection and other areas requiring upholding international rules.

Aside from that it is a complete moral and historical failure that Germany involves itself in another genocide, proving it had learned nothing from its history.

  • The US Drug sheduling is absurd.

People not being allowed to own and carry guns while being addicted to drugs doesn’t make them “subhuman”. And what the heck is wrong with Americans defining who is a human and who isn’t based on them having guns?

Also i fail to see how owning guns is in any way relevant to access to healthcare. Should access to healthcare be exclusive to gun owners?

The right to own guns should be dependent on having the full mental capacity and character to handle them responsibly. One of the effects of cocaine and even more so with crack cocaine is a boost to the own ego and removal of empathy towards others. People under the influence of cocaine are known to be more reckless and more violent than sober. Same with alcohol lowering peoples inhibitions and making them more violent and impulsive. These drugs shouldn’t be mixed with guns ever and it is insane to now defend this in order to defend Hunter Biden, just because he is a Biden.

  • Alcoholics shouldn’t be allowed near firearms either. And in the case of Hunter Biden we are talking about crack cocaine. I hope we can agree that crack addicts have a very different psychology from weed smokers. When it comes to drugs that are particularly problematic with firearms the list is lead by Meth, Crack and Alcohol. And Biden also was an alcoholic at the time.

  • He is denying the existence of journalists in Gaza, because he does not want to acknowledge their, nor the testimony of hundreds of humanitarian aid workers who managed to survive Israels onslaught and also testified. For instance dozens of doctorrs testifying about gunshot wounds on children that look like targeted executions of these children.

And again he didnt say there is difficulty getting information. He said their would be no journalists. So he is denying the journalists in Gaza, who risk their lifes and get murdered by the UK supported IDF, because then he would have to acknowledge what his government is supporting.
