AI has free reign to scrape Lemmy or any federated site. But at least the data being scraped isn’t curated and moderated by a massive advertising platform.

They killed my favorite app “rif”, so I started using the web version. Then they made the web version almost unusable with the “open this in our app” banner on every page which was the last straw for me. Can’t use third party apps, and the web version is constantly nagging you to not use it? Stupid. Now I just use Lemmy on Firefox and have had 0 issues.

She will be long gone by then if she is released. Our laws are not sufficient for this level of high corruption.

I still get unsolicited phone calls regularly and report it to my carriers spam reporting channels. It never ends!! Phone numbers from multiple states ive never been to. This is indeed still a problem and carriers are trying to make money off of it by selling upgraded tools/apps to mitigate it.

I use the coffee grinders at WinCo regularly in AZ. I’m surprised to not see many other comments saying so! They also have a fantastic bulk section. I hope it never goes away.

I think I would be offended if some robot came up to try and provide emotional support. Its fake, and reminds me that our society values profit over human life. I pay extra for paramount+ ad free version and they still show me periodic ads. Its infuriating. And they are much louder than the show content, as a cherry on top. What an awful service.

It will light up an indicator for each pan detected, so if 2 pans are on the stove you still need to activate the one you want. Assuming you don’t want both on.

I just bought one of these! First press on, then wait a second for the pan to be detected, then select the burner to turn on, then + which sets it to 5/10, then press + 5 more times for full power! The one with knobs was like double price…but hey the pan heats up quick while you are cursing at it.
