On a whim, I decided to start a Total War Empire campaign as Poland-Lithuania. I saw a meme about playing games in your Steam library instead of buying something on sale, and I felt justifiably attacked.

It is a fair criticism. There is a limited number of historical conflicts/periods with multiple factions, large troop structures, etc. Do they continue to refine past entries or explore more into fiction and mythology? Personally, I’d love to see a more finely polished Medieval, but I think it is more likely that they will follow the Warhammer model and do more licensed products.
If you haven’t played the Robocop: Rogue City demo yet, you have 10 seconds to comply. Your move, creep.
A damn shame. KOTOR 1 & 2 are still, IMHO, one of the greatest Star Wars stories/experiences. I’d really love for something to revisit the time period.
I hope you are right. More end-user freedom is a good thing and, if it is a matter of turning the tide, I’d love to see more tech companies competing to be the most accessible for repairs.
It really is a beautiful movie. Rock solid cast, charming and funny, but can be absolutely devastating at moments. And the “flowers” might be one of my favorite moments in a movie, full stop. It is so simple, but fits so neatly into their characters.
I’m trying to be empathetic because I know there are vulnerable people who live in FL, but if there’s any place that deserves to find out after a lot of fucking around, it’s Florida.
Wow, I’m not familiar with the series outside of Vaati’s videos, but this seems even darker than past entries. I don’t want everything to be like that, but it’s a thematic tone I trust FROM with. Very stoked.
Yup. As Carlin said, no conspiracy is necessary when interests converge. The people who made the system fundamentally designed it to encourage behavior that enriches themselves and others like them. There’s no deep state, outside of the super rich old white dudes who pal around together and just want to get richer. And anyone who isn’t in that demographic is a threat.
Does anyone else double-take when you see a Roger Ebert review pop up?
I’m not mad about it since I think it is the nature of being a fan, but I don’t think Star Wars is really for me anymore. I never saw CWs or Rebels, and I don’t really have any inclination to, but it seems that someone needs to consume all SW media to enjoy the new stuff. Eh, but what do I know? I liked TLJ. I hope Ahsoka is good for those that enjoy it.
I gotta say, the turnaround of the Sonic franchise of game after game ranging from mediocre to downright broken, to where it is now has been amazing. Mania, Frontiers, a murder mystery? What a redemption.
This, the OGL, the Pinkerton incident, the continued decline in quality products. Talk about squandering the opportunity of a lifetime with the renaissance of D&D.
