Wearing costumes is how I met my wife. So it was worth it.

I remember when windows used to brag about incredibly fast boot times.

Now, my 5 yo gaming PC takes about 30 seconds to wake up to the password screen. While my Linux laptop takes 15 seconds to go from cold start to desktop.

I used to live in a city where it was 15 minutes to the library, but the walk was awful. No trees, ugly houses, then near a major road. There was homeless tents and no alternatives.

My new place, the walk is gorgeous. Trees, dog walkers, houses with so many ecofriendly gardens. It takes about 30 minutes. But a fraction of the time on a bike.

Friends. Yes, you’ll probably spend more to do events.

But the good friendships, you end up just hanging out - wasting time at a park, going for a walk around the neighborhood, having dinner together.
