I love Aldi and they’re always the first place I shop, but their selection is a bit limited and the produce is hit-or-miss, at least in my area. Unfortunately around me that only leaves Kroger as the next best option.

Which they seem to be keenly aware of, since the self-checkout you’re forced to use because there’s only ever one staffed register constantly accuses you of theft if you so much as move your bagged groceries. God how I wish I had more grocery options in my area.
Oolong back on his shit
I’ve heard there’s a trope called “Seinfeld’s not funny.” It’s named after the idea that a lot of people who watch Seinfeld today think its jokes are overdone or cliche, not realizing that the reason they’re overdone now is because they were popularized by the show.
More generally, it refers to works that are seen as cliche nowadays by people who didn’t grow up with them, but were actually the ones to start the trend in the first place, when it was new and innovative.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made many people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
Of course that’s not a tie, it’s a cabbage.
I.e. not as cheap as killing the planet with plastics. Sure, there are environmental costs, but we won’t see those this quarter!
To be fair I think “Amazon’s choice” labels whatever product is most purchased for a given search term, not awarded by Amazon itself
It was a sobering moment wandering around the farm supply store and finding chicken “anti-cannibalism spray.”
Nah, his kids have been around. It wasn’t a very conspicuous absence, he just hasn’t come up for a while. It’s easy to miss if you didn’t realize the VA had been fired.
From what I can tell from a quick look on the wiki, Johnston was fired after season 11, his last episode being season 11 episode 19, “Bridge Over Troubled Rudy,” after which the character was absent for several seasons, then recast as Eric Bauza in season 14 (which I believe is the most recent season at the moment), in particular season 14 episode 5, “Bully-ieve It or Not.”
(edit: added specific episodes)
In case anyone’s curious, he voiced Bob’s rival Jimmy Pesto. He’s since been recast and they did a great job. I wouldn’t notice the difference if I weren’t looking for it.
Great quote, but missing a rather crucial bit at the end:
“And are you?” “No. That’s where it all falls down, of course.” “Pity”, said Arthur. “It sounded like rather a good lifestyle otherwise.”
Someone down voted you but I can’t imagine why. I desperately want Biden to win but he looks like shit out there. Trump, meanwhile, is confidently spouting whatever horseshit pops into his head (even had the fucking gall to call Biden a criminal). Half the government is gleefully destroying the country and the other half is letting them. I honestly don’t see a way forward for this country. I don’t like to be a cynic but I cannot imagine a scenario where the next four years aren’t an absolute clusterfuck.
I first heard it as a chain email in the mid 2000s, so I know it’s real
I mean, I get that short people have no reason to live (Newman et al.), but turning them into step stools seems a bit cruel
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
