This is my biggest lament about getting a 2060 without knowing how important vram is. I can make it perform better and more efficiently a bunch of different ways, but to my knowledge, I can’t get around the 6GB vram wall.

All good, I was just confused is all.
I’m not sure if Maine Coons specifically have a genetic predisposition for polydactylism, but I do know that it’s a relatively common trait that’s paired with them because of selective breeding.
Is there some kind of reference to this that I accidentally made? I was asking an honest question because Maine Coons tend to have extra toes (polydactyl).
How many toes do they got?
I must know!
Said it before and I’ll say it again: It’s crazy to me that tone centric fonts never happened. Tone is wildly important in all language, but there’s basically no good way to convey tone via text without stating the tone like some Newspeak shit. Meanwhile, we have all these rad fonts just hanging out on the proverbial bench, going totally unused, but I’m cursed to see and use exclusively good Times New Roman, plusgood Helvetica, and doubleplusgood Arial. Literally 1984.
/hyperbole (but I really do think it would be a fun idea and I demand a hyperbole font).
This, except instead of a 20 minute update, it’s two days of installing mods for the perfect game experience I’ll never have.
I was even thinking of deleting my previous comment because I figured someone would try to explain how my awful experience was normal and justified from the perspective of doctors/insurance, but I left it, and here we are. Go figure. I gave you the summary. There’s some important context left out, but I didn’t wanna write a book, so maybe just understand that people aren’t putting their whole life story into each and every comment.
There was no risk management involved, just shitty doctors, and shitty insurance companies. I went to urgent care, then a dentist, then urgent care again. Every time explaining that I had a bad tooth, was eating, cracked it, and was in immense pain since that point, with swelling to follow. None of them gave a shit, no referrals, no antibiotics, nothing. I got in with an oral surgeon without a referral, only because my mom knows that guy, and he told me to immediately go to the ER where he personally would come pull my tooth.
Is that enough context for you? Or do I need to continue justifying my experience like I had to with my doctors in this exact story?
Tell that to the doctor that said I had a blocked salivary gland and to “just suck on some sour candy”. I had a tooth abscess (I even told the doctor that) and ended up in the ER for nearly a week. Costed insurance 28 thousand dollars for a procedure that normally costs a couple hundred at most (tooth pull).
Useless RGB is overrated. I color coded my keyboard and it’s unbelievably helpful, especially for altered keys (ie: media keys/macro keys).
Wild, I didn’t know there was a different gallon measurement (There’s a few apparently).
mostly unrelated, but after poking around on Wikipedia, I’ve also learned that there’s two different versions of fluid ounces (Edit: that are used actively in the US, forgot to add that), and both are used on food labels simultaneously, but relating to different things.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluid_ounce#Definitions_and_equivalences
US food labeling fluid ounce
For serving sizes on nutrition labels in the US, regulation 21 CFR §101.9(b) requires the use of “common household measures”, and 21 CFR §101.9(b)(5)(viii) defines a “common household” fluid ounce as exactly 30 milliliters. This applies to the serving size but not the package size, package sizes use the US customary fluid ounce.
It’s about 3.8 liters to a gallon (for a total of about 10.55 gallons).
No worries. It’s not a huge deal to use redragon software, and I poked around a bit with openrgb and set up some cool goodies from the plugins they do have (most notably setting an rgb light in my Mobo to scale with my GPU temps. Totally unnecessary, but very cool!)
Do you happen to have a link or some kind of point in the right direction? I couldn’t find any macro plugins for openrgb on their site, and a web search is proving unhelpful as well.
As a separate download or built in? Any idea if it works with redragon stuff? Redragon software is fucking awful, only nice thing about it is that I almost never have to use it.
Protip: set up a macro to type out site:reddit.com if you can’t be fucked to type after every search.
Pepperoni and green peppers, mushrooms, olives, chives!
Oh wait wrong song.
You could check out Sidebery (Firefox addon) (A note: I use it with Floorp, a fork of Firefox built around user control. Floorp link)
Ton of features and very nuanced customization (you can change pretty much all minutia of its UI, which is a huge plus over other stuff I used). Some noteworthy features I like:
Vertical tab bar with collapsible parent/child tabs
Tab Grouping, which seems to be functionally the same as workspaces
Unload or refresh tabs or groups en masse easily
Customizable new tab buttons. ie: you can have “new tab”, “new private (or other container) tab”, and “new lemmy.world tab” all at once.
Customizable movement of tabs to specific Tab Groups based on domain and/or container. ie: I have a “Media” tab group, and I set it up so any domain from youtube.com or dropout.tv automatically get moved from other tab groups over to “Media”
There’s more, but those are the points that I find the most useful.
First off: Everyone who played the historical documentary Brutal Legend knows that metal was a gift from the gods.
Second: Miocene epoch heavy metal is my favorite genre!
First I’m hearing of Tiny10 and starting to consider my options for jumping ship on windows. Anyone willing to give a short rundown/ weigh their opinions of linux/windows/other OSes. Video games are the main factor for me, with user control a very close second.
Honestly, just go the full 9 lives and become a cat.
